Let me see... I won't be able to recall them all... names of bands I've played in since 1964:

The Commons
The Village Commons
The Mountain Oysters
Buckskin
Panoche Creek

That's the main groups. In-between there were many, most didn't last, some as few as a couple of gigs. Most had really bad names. A group I was with for a couple of years, even though we played seldom, did a take on the well known group "The Band"... we called ourselves "The Ensemble"... HATED that name, and to my credit I didn't come up with it.

I wish I had kept a diary of those sessions when all the members of these various groups sat brain storming trying to come up with a 'name'. I can remember thinking that some of the suggestions were so horrifically bad that I wasn't sure I could continue with anyone that could come up with such atrocities. In High School, pre-The Commons, I remember one guy, (never did play with him in a band) suggested "Attila The Fun". Not sure... but we ridiculed him and laughed at him for so long I think he became a hermit... never seen him since. - JamesJM
