English vs American humor...

April 03, 2017 06:55AM
Just one man's opinion here:

I think the English do it better. Sure, great comedians from all over the world... but 'in general' I tend to the think the English, (and I'd equate Canadians with the English (((as far as comedy)))), are a bit more original and, well, funny. OR, is that because I'm "American" so it's just a bit more 'surprising' to me?

Also, and again.. just my general impression... American comedians, admittedly quite funny, come off to me as more 'angry'. The English, and Canadians, seem to me more philosophically "life is one big joke so we might as well laugh"'ish.

Oh, and while on the topic.... I can't put my finger on 'why', exactly, but John Pinette kills me. Love the guy... but there is NOTHING hard edged about him. He doesn't even cuss very often. John passed on not long ago.. sadly. I miss him dearly.

I think me liking John is one of the major setbacks I suffer in being unable for other's to think of me as 'cool'. laughing smiley
