and probably win. I've had friends who worked in insurance, still do, it's not an uncommon story that many, (not saying all), will do everything they can to make your life a living hell until many people finally just give up and either except nothing OR far less than they're entitled too.
Give you an example: As you know my home burned down in 1991... total loss... nothing was saved. The insurance company didn't say they wouldn't pay me.. it wasn't that.. BUT... they would only pay a tiny fraction at a time and each time they would renew the fight to pay at all. I went through about 10 months of that, or so... and finally called and set up an appointment with the agent who was handling my claim and at that meeting I told the guy, "Look, mine is a total loss.. I'm going to collect every penny I was insured for. We both know that... why don't you just pay me in full instead of this BS?". His reply:
"Just between you and me yes, I know that, you'll get it in full if you persist. but that's how the game is played and we're going to keep playing it that way until the very end. Lot of people eventually give up... the company is hoping you'll be one of them".
We played the game right to the end.
BUT.. that was in 1991.... I would hope things have changed today. - JamesJM
