hit on a great marketing promo for what has to be a large base of fans out here. A base of fans who don't need the talking heads telling them who just got HOOVED the ball or he made 4 yards on that play or the linebacker made the tackle etc, etc, etc on and on and on. We have info onscreen that tells us all we need to know or at least should know.
Here's a promo idea that would be great for say DTV to offer:
"The Sounds of the Game, No chatter, no blabber, no yakkin'.. just bone crunching football with all the fixin's..."
Get your DTV ST game feed with no announcers and no self proclaimed experts analyzing every move 3 times over and over giving you never ending audio contamination and at a small fee of $5 per game.

I was at the sports bar watching the game.. when they went into weather delay I drove home - only took about ten minutes to get home.. at home I cranked up my computer and found an online feed for the game.. I watched the weather delay for about 45 minutes.. right before the first play (Rams 3rd and 11 I think) the feed went dead... until the very last play.. I did get to see the last play.. Not sure after that as I jumped 6 feet high when we won and have no memory after that...
So, I basically LIVED your nightmare once the weather delay started.. Had to listen to a bunch of dorks yakkin' it up.. then the good stuff starts and I'm alone in Texas with no feed... Hey, that should be a country song sung from the perspective of a cow..
Hopefully they'll get your hearing aids perfected.. nobody should have to endure that garbage!
