Living with it is possible as well...

August 26, 2016 10:57AM
My shoulder has been giving me trouble for 30 years... progressively getting worse all that time. I delayed going to a doctor until, ummm, last year? Maybe two year's ago.

I had an MRI... saw 3 doctors, the verdict was the same... they could do surgery to relieve the pain but I wouldn't like the side effects OR... learn to live with it. I chose the second.

So, weight lifting for me today is very limited. More the 'type' of lifting than the Lbs. For example.. I can lift all I can handle by bench presses, doesn't bother me at all. Curls, on the other hand, are out of the question, even with VERY light weight.

I think my shoulder problem is more in the "tendonitis" category... but unfortunately anti-inflammatories do not work. Cortisone shots do (sp?), but temporarily, and I'm not going to get a cortisone shot every month or however long they last.. just not going to do it, too lazy. - JamesJM
