Don't know how you can dance around that, but you sure are trying.
That it saying you don't see better than 9-7 , I don't care how you want to spin that.
Doesn't sound like you really believe it yourself cuz you sure don't want to own it,
Saying it looks like a 9-7 team as things stand NOW is an assessment of NOW, not a prediction.
It openly leaves room for the possibility things can change. Draft, free agency, development, a player steps up, or on the other side of the coin a major injury.
This is my take. Right now, before anything changes, yes it looks like a 9-7 team BUT I think they will fill in some gaps and come out of the off-season and into camp a stronger team than that. So I am definitely NOT *predicting* a 9-7 season.
And I don't even agree with Speed on a lot of this--for example, I see Goff as stronger at this point than he does.
But saying they look X or Y NOW is simply not a prediction. They're different things.

That's not the point ...how and why does this team have some sort of ceiling of 9-7 in February is the question??? Why even say that if you don't have anything but a bad feeling of how things are gonna be???
He seems to be under the assumption we lost all our free agents and didn't replace them and that the o-line showed zero improvement
saying this team is going 9-7 at best right now is just plain silly to me
