Who knows the validity but it's being talked about that Belichick has always liked Dalton. Bridgewater is another name talked about here with the Patriots.
I always felt bad for Dalton, that would be a good match with New England not communicating it would be anything outstanding as Dalton always seemed like the type of QB that would make the big mistake, but Dalton has always been considered very smart and that is what Belichick covets.
