Heck last summer when camp started posters were already talking about how he looked bigger.
Those quotes from him are being misconstrued. He's not saying he's doing a new thing. He CAN'T say that, it's not true that it's new.
He's just talking about his eagerness to get to it.
There's this false narrative forming that says "hey Goff never really dedicated himself but he sure learned the hard way in 2019 what it takes, glad he got the mesage."
Nah.
He has always been a dedicated off-season worker.
Part of the reason for that false narrative is that for some people, in spite of ALL the evidence, the 2019 offense was entirely about Goff.
Well that ain't true either.
Goff is just enthusiastically embracing his role and leading by example, but NONE of this is new.
