Hes also saying you need the same ability to play RT that you need to play LT. He's saying they are interchangeable.
His argument is based on defenses using their best pass rushers equally on the left and right sides.
He also said teams that go far in the playoffs have 2 good OTs that can block pass rushers.

It means you better have a right tackle who can pass protect and not play like a slower-footed ogre like some teams have put out there. Look at the teams that went far in the playoffs last year and you quickly realize they all had very good right tackle play. It’s become a premium position in a passing league focused on affecting the quarterback even if the salaries haven’t all caught up to that reality yet.
It also means that if you hear someone continuing to make a distinction between left and right tackle you should probably stop listening to them because their thinking is outdated.
And I do not agree with that even remotely. The right tackles they have in the league are there because there's not enough players who can play LOT as it is. There's not going to suddenly be more of them on the planet just cause Tucker says they have to change the position. That's like saying, hey every team needs 2 starting caliber qbs. Okay. And. Are there even 64 pro-worthy starting-caliber qbs available in any given year?
Traditionally, ROT gets more help than LOT. Teams that cope with pressure don't do it by drafting 2 starting caliber LOTs. They get a good ROT and when they need to, give him help.
In terms of slow-footed ogres, naw. There are alot of good ROTs in the league. Most just don't have the specific skills to play LOT.
