Bill Barnwell: Rams should add D-lineman, extend Marcus PetersThe Los Angeles Rams have made some big acquisitions this offseason – especially on defense – like signing Clay Matthews and Eric Weddle. But their biggest departure on defense will be Ndamukong Suh, and although the Rams drafted Greg Gaines in the fourth round to help replace him, some still think the Rams would be well-served by adding another defensive lineman.
Count ESPN’s Bill Barnwell among that group. Barwnell argued the Rams have two things left to do this offseason, and one of them is adding a defensive lineman. He writes that the Rams “will theoretically hand some of Ndamukong Suh’s snaps to the likes of Tanzel Smart on the inside and Clay Matthews on the edge, but they could still justify adding one more defensive lineman to supplement one of the league’s best units.”
