Bortles has been a bad QB for 5 solid years
Other than our coach being able to coach players up, what makes anybody think he is our best choice for a backup QB?
The way I look at it is some unknown backup who has never played has a better chance of being a good QB versus somebody that has been bad for 5 straight seasons.
I do not get the logic. The only think that I can think of is that people have the mindset of being "less bad" versus having the mindset of "Being Better". The bottom line unless you are a team like the superbowl Bears, Ravens, or Bucs, you better look for a QB that can win games versus a QB that is "Less Bad".
I don't think the Rams team make-up is like those Bears, Ravens, Bucs teams. I say, go with the unknown and save the money for other positions!
This isn't rocket science. I don't think we need to worry too much about the backup QB. I got the impression that Sean Mannion was a good guy, but I was terrified of the idea of him starting games for us.
On to Cincinnati.
