We're two weeks removed from the Super Bowl and there's still no consensus as to what the situation is/was with Todd Gurley. I mean, if Gurley suited up at...say, 65% - then McVay essentially coached that game with one hand tied behind his back without his best offensive weapon. If that's the case, then I'll reserve judgement on him being outclassed as a coach.
But if Gurley entered the game at something closer to 85-90%, then McVay likely outsmarted himself by not riding the horse that's brought him the success he's enjoyed the past two seasons. In essence, he may have gifted Belichick his latest Super Bowl.
Not gonna say that the Pats defense couldn't stop us. But I'd just like to see it with a healthy (and normally used) Gurley.
