Did Jared choke?

February 11, 2019 03:51AM
Fred Dryer was on Mark Levin show last night and was talking about Goff being totally confused by the Pats. He said Goff was lost by the 2nd quarter, was throwing off his back foot, running to escape pressure, and had a glazed look.

Levin said, “so he choked”.

Dryer said call it what you want, but he’s a very young QB.

I get that Levin is agenda driven, and is biased for the Pats because of Brady’s and Kraft's connection to Trump, but I don’t see choking as the right term.

By definition, to choke is to fail to perform at a crucial point of a game or contest owing to a failure of nerve.

I don’t believe it was lack of nerve that was the problem, I think it was Goff not knowing what he was looking at that caused confusion and panic.

Is that the same as choking?
