I watched several times where players jogged along with eagles running backs and receivers wait7ng for other players to tackle the ball handlers.
Peters and Talib we’re guilty of it.
They were expected to be leaders.
Johnson played hard all night.
I noticed the same thing while watching the game as well. Great Defenses swarm to ball. We are not swarming to the ball. One guy grabs the offensive player and too many of our other players are watching while the opposition drags our player another 4-5 yards. How many times do we make contact before the first down marker only to be dragged across for a first down or a touchdown. I noticed Talib and Peters especially watching, but there were also a number of defensive linemen as well.
Both side of the line are not playing with the fire or fortitude to continue to win. If you watch tape from last year or beginning of this year, you see guys playing all out. Maybe winning has made some of them lazy with little to no heart. Whatever it is, we better start playing with fire or the rest of the league will beat us simply by wanting it more than we do. Over and over again, with all the talent in the league, you here coaches say any team can beat another if you just want it more. We need to bring back the smelling salts they use to give to players who were knocked out in a play to wake them up. We need enough for the whole team!
Lets face it this could be on Wade
