Been reading / hearing that Philly has us figured, the Lions and Bears stopped us etc. Thing is....Even us regular schmuck fans could see that the Rams have been playing a bit vanilla or just flat out throwing. Figured?? I doubt it. I think McVay has been calling games that are easier to stop. The Jet Sweeps have all but gone away...misdirection plays etc. The only question I have is WHY the Rams have gone vanilla. Is McVay holding back? Just trying basics?
Rams played 2 road games against savvy veteran D coordinators (
svdc) on the road. One with a heavily stocked unit (Bears, obviously).
Teams rarely win consecutive road games.
Plus the Rams don't have enough on defense yet to even things out, so if they go on the road against a good
svdc guy who can disrupt the offense, they don't do as well.
