the ILB / OLB / DE designation aside.....
I would like to see them draft some kids that push to get on the field.
I like some of the guys they've picked up, and some show well in their efforts on special teams.
Lawler
Kiser
Hager
Wilson
Kiser was mentioned by Vinny B in his brief broadcast yesterday.
However, it wasn't as though Vinny was remarking on him being upgraded to rotation in the defense. Just being a possible option in Wade's world of toys.
Wilson has barely seen the field since Barron went into starter role. Wilson has shown well at times, he also can look slow on the first step, too.
Lawler has some size, and appears to have instinct. So hard to know if he's a player with just a need to show his stuff.
Longacre
Westbrooks
in my mind, more of the traditional end spots
Obo
his redshirt year might work out or not
The point here is the Rams need a linebacker who is pushing to get on the field; tbh, someone they just can't keep off the field cuz he's giving our own OL guys headaches in practice. Not sure you can always count on getting that kind of talent in the midst of the draft.
As usual, keep an eye on Les Snead at the Senior Bowl. Wheeling dealing, and eyeballing prospects.
