there are a number of reasons the Rams passing game is effective... it is not exclusively because the Rams oline in outstanding at pass blocking. Although they are a good pass blocking line
rather there are multiple factors...
Play Action, the jet sweeps, and almost exclusively being in 11 personnel (3WRs, 1TE, & 1R
. The Rams by a lot run more play action than any team in the NFL. Romo talked about it too... that the Rams ability to make all plays look the exact same run off of that play action benefits them greatly.
He also mentioned that when they don't run the action its when you can get a few things on them. "When you know they are passing...that's when you can get get to the QB a little"
What I am saying is that McVay has built a system that not only stresses a defense, but relieves pressure on a good but aging oline while putting his QB and RB in a position to succeed with deception.

You talk as though play action and the use of a TE to help block is exclusive to the Rams.
In fact it's as much standard operating procedure in an NFL offense as having 5 Olinemen.
Whether it's the least or most sacked QB, these principles are the same, team to team.
In fact, that the Rams operate in 11 personal some 90% of the time even speaks more to the minimum amount of players dedicated to pass blocking.
The Rams sacks are very few for the type of offense they run and the distance the average pass is thrown and the number of passes that are thrown.
