in the game time forum I was fuming over the Rams not getting any point there... man I was furious. Because as I said in my post we know the Saints will make you pay dearly for not keeping up
I never addressed Hekker making it or not then because I was too mad about them going for it on 3rd 9 and having Hekker have to basically run 15 yards to get that first down... I didn't like the call. Kick the FG and take the 17-14 lead. It was bad enough that they couldn't get a TD there
That being said.. yes Hekker appeared to get that first down. I have seen them call that a first down plenty of times. I have seen them call similar plays a TD
I just want them to be consistent with it!!! If that is a first down in some games... it should be a first down in all of them. They clearly decided to stay with the call on the field. My guess is had it been called first down they would have kept it
