I missed most of yesterday's game, just saw the 4th quarter. But here are some thoughts from what I know.
- While its true we have played two unworthy opponents so far, we have beaten both of them handily, which is what good teams do.
- I don't think our offense is hitting on all cylinders yet. We still have lots of offensive ceiling.
- The defense has been as good as I hoped so far. And I think there may be some ceiling left there as well.
- We already seem to have had more injuries/adversity than last year, with Cooper and Zeurlein injured.
- Malcolm Brown is not Todd Gurley. But he finds holes and picks up yards. Great to have him to take the heavy lifting of a late game that is already won.
- I am looking forward to playing some better teams, and that will come. When it does, we will lose some games. Very few teams go undefeated.
- Not sure Jamon Brown gets his job back. Blythe has been at least solid and possibly really good. (I'm no judge of OL.)
- Several NFC teams expected to be world beaters have shown weaknesses. New Orleans defense? Philly and Atlanta are both a few plays from having been 0-2. Aaron Rodgers is playing on one leg more or less.
-NRR, but I took Patrick Mahomes late for my fantasy team and am 2-0 there as well.
One question I have, what did McVay show playcalling wise yesterday? Any new wrinkles teams are going to have to prepare for. How about the jet sweeps?
