A fine post about Mark Barron’s Ram future by BonifayRam...

Here’s BonifayRam...

Your right that the health of Barron is a legit concern. It was last season too. Fact is Barron's early 2018 year is a rinse & repeat of his 2017 early season. Barron missed participation in all of the 2017 OTA's mini camp, Training Camp & all of pre season due to ongoing wear & tear issues. I would go further & say that Barron NFL carrier is looking to be cut short due to wear & tear issues. This may be a continuing concern going forward plus add in his salary $10 mil, this season total is $28 million....the painting is on the wall that his time as a Ram is drawing to a close after this season.

On the positive side (y) Barron did just fine when he did start the regular season absent all the usual needed prep work. One should also add in the important fact that Barron was playing {once again} in a new position in a new defense with a new DC in 2017. I still have to give Barron his serious respect when you realize just how many different NFL defensive positions that he has started & played in the NFL ....SS/ FS/ CB/ WSLB/ SSLB all in the standard 43 defense & last season in a 34 D as an interior LB'er.bow smiley:When the dust cleared for the 2017 season Barron was our best starting LB'er by a large degree. Barron has proven to be smart & ready to make an impact when healthy.

On Barron making the calls:thinking:...he is by far the most experienced LB'er we have. He has seen & played against a mass amount of different offensives & offensive plays in his college & pro career. It just makes good sense for Barron to make the calls for Wade..problem is he is not participating in practice. Barron is also not a big talker does most of his speaking by his action on the field. That's where he is the loudest.

Rams will have three key ILB'ers to sign to new contracts in 2019 Free Agency with Littleton, Hager & Wilson. Littleton will only be a RFA & is an easy to take signing for the 2019 season.so he looks to be here this & next season. I would not write off Ramik Wilson either if he will take a reasonable contract here in LA.
