WR Brandin Cooks calls QB Jared Goff a “natural-born leader.” Credits Goff for getting receivers together to throw and establish chemistry even before OTAs began, as now that’s beginning to pay off in practice.

CB Marcus Peters says he feels like he learns fast, so he’s coming along in the defense well.

Most impressive was a deep pass Goff made down the left side to Cooks in 7-on-7. Goff showed arm strength/accuracy, Cooks showed off his speed. 7-on-7, yes, but would’ve been an easy TD.

QB-1. Goff said he felt like Monday was a good first day of OTAs, added he felt like things were “really crisp.”

Goff also called WR Brandin Cooks “a sponge” and someone who “wants to be great.” Goff connected with Cooks on a few passes at multiple levels during the session.

Aqib Talib at the podium. Says OTA No. 1 was good, and he got an introduction to the McVay offense. Called it “pretty crazy” with all the movement.

WR Brandin Cooks on what makes the #LaRams offense so unique: "Coach McVay does such a great job putting players in a great spot. There’s no selfishness and we really believe that whole ‘We Not Me’ process."

Sign of things to come? #Rams Jared Goff just hooked up with Brandin Cooks on a 60-yard TD pass in 7-on-7 drill. Whole thing was won at line of scrimmage when Cooks & Cooper Kupp ran cross action, buying Cooks a half second to beat his defender to boundary. Goff delivered a dime
