What a terrible, fact deprived, muck-raking article. The Cardinals weren't unable to pursue Cousins. They offered him 5 years, $145M/90M guaranteed. They went after Brees. They inquired about Foles. Does he mention any of that? Bradford wasn't their plan "A". He is a health risk but he also has upside. Overall, not a horrible acquisition for the situation they are in.
Same thing with Glennon. He's not their starter so it's nothing like what the Bears did. Glennon's a quality backup. MUCH better than Stanton.
So, the Cardinals didn't get Cousins but they did their due diligence and at the end of the day, they actually improved what they have at QB over what they had last year. Palmer was playing terribly before he got hurt and Stanton isn't even a quality backup(66 career rating vs. Glennon's 83).
This guy boasts about covering the NFL for 23 years and that's about the saddest thing I've ever heard considering what he writes.
