I never understand how a player gets passed st the combine, except if he has an unexpected injury or is dumb as a rock. You see these guys play for 3 or 4 years succeeding and then a 40 time drops them a round in the draft. Or a gauntlet. Or some other drill. I love to watch the combine but the evaluators always explain they are there to be measured, for medical and interviews. I think they look for enthusiasm to take coaching too, but the clockings and reps mean a lot less. I fit one was very excited about Robert Woods coming out and wanted the Rams to draft him but we passed. Since then he proved himself a solid pro and we got him as a FA and now he's looking like an All Pro. I see the same in Ridley. I agree with many that we will probably draft a rusher for Wade with our first pick, but it could be Ridley falls to us. Playing for Alabama in the SEC is like playing in the pros. Lots of pressure and facing top talent every week. I think it'll translate.
