The other 3 teams in our division will improve, no doubt. But they’ll be playing catch-up for several seasons at best.
Several seasons???
Not in today's environment my friend. Lol just look how fast a good coach turned the Rams around.
Best be careful of those objects in the rear view mirrror..
Don’t misunderstand, RFIP.
I respect all 3 other teams in our division. And I expect all 3 to improve over the next few years.
However...
I just don’t see any of them gaining ground on the Rams ‘cause we’re gonna be improving, too.
The Rams are already in very good shape at so many key facets of the game.
Coaching. Few teams have a better staff. Maybe just one. Jimmy Johnson says that ours is the league’s best.
QB. Goff is an ascending franchise QB, no question. That’s beyond huge. Can’t be overstated.
RB. Gurley is elite. Played at MVP level last year. And he’s still young and healthy.
OL. Easily a top third unit. An aging Whit is the only worry and that’s not even imminent.
WR corps. With or without Watkins.
D is more of a worry, but even there we have AD, Brockers, Joyner, and JJ as solid to elite players to build upon.
We have the momentum now and I don’t see anyone in this division gaining on us in the eval, coaching, or talented roster departments over the next few years.
One more outstanding offseason like the last one and I think we’re in the SB conversation. There, I said it.
