I think this or some combination to get to 12-4 would be fantastic and get us a home game if not a bye. Thoughts?
Rams @ Vikes - loss
Rams v Saints - win
Rams @ Cards - win
Rams v Eagles - win
Rams @ Seattle - win (clinch NFC West?)
Rams @ Titans - loss
Rams v 49ers - win
First off, these are NOT playoff games. One reason why is because they are not elimination games. If you lose one of them your season is not over. The other reason is because its an entirely different animal once the playoffs start. I've seen over and over again watching this game for over 50 years. The atmosphere is just different in the playoffs. EVERYTHING is faster and more intense.
What they are are big time regular season games that position you for the playoffs.
I think we have a good shot at beating the Vikes on Sunday. I think they are due for a down game and I think the Rams had their flat game against the Texans. The Rams have measurably better talent on offense. I think it will be a low scoring game and Gurley will be the difference.
I think the Saints game will be very difficult. They are loaded on offense. And I think the game will be a big shoot out. My guess is Rams lose because of Saints running game.
The Rams will bounce back against the Cards and then I think Goff and Wentz play to a standoff and Gurley is the difference again. Rams win.
I think the Rams beat the Seahawks who are just too beat up, but then the Rams have a letdown and lose in Tenn. Rams finish the season with win against Niners at home.
