Yes I do think it's that simple.
Here are the D rankings in Points Allowed that we have played in order:
Ind. - 31st - We score 46
Wash. - 13th - We score 20
49ers - 29th - We score 41
Cowboys - 26th - We score 35
Seattle - 7th - We score 10
Jax - 3rd - Offense essentially scores 10
Don't know about you, but I see a pattern there.
On the D's ranked in the high 20's or worse, we score 35+. On a middle of the road D (Wash.), we score 20. On top 10 D's, we score 10. Simple.
I don't think our offense is mature enough to dominate top defenses yet. At least they are scoring very well against weak defenses as they should.
FWIW, Arizona's D is ranked 28th.
