I'm right here, Speed.
Reporting for duty. Lol.
I just woke up, since it's barely 7:30 on the West coast.
About the game? Coulda been better, coulda been worse.
Yeah, I'm disappointed. I thought we were further along on D than we apparently are. The Washington coaches found weaknesses that they fully exploited from the jump. Very humbling for Wade, I'm sure. I may have overrated Quinn, Barron, and Ogletree in this D, too. Troubling.
But this team never gave up. I admire and respect that. They kept battling back and I'm sure the Redskins respect that.
Goff is a work in progress. Overall, I agree with you. Goff made a few outstanding throws, but that last one in desperation time was one that's best described as a "learning experience".
As many said on the GTF, there was plenty of blame to go around yesterday. Putting this loss all on Goff would be grossly unfair.
I have little doubt that the Ram coaches are burning the midnight oil in an effort to patch up the holes exposed by the Redskins on Sunday. And to better utilize some of their many O weapons. Perhaps more on that in it's own thread. Their 2nd qtr and halftime adjustments were pretty danged impressive., huh?
My view from 30,000 feet? We are improving in some areas, but we have a long way to go. But our division seems there for the taking. I expect steady overall improvement to the point that we can be a 10-6 team when the dust settles in December. But yeah, there will be more bumps and bruises along the way. Just the way it is for developing teams in the NFL.
