Rams are high on the waiver wire order this year, and with the reality that Quinn is iffy, Barron as well, and with Donald's availability a complete unknown, I could easily see the Rams being ready to pounce on some vet that could help with depth in those positions.
And every year there's a small handful of still good, but higher priced, vets that get cut. Or vets that no longer fit a system or for any number of other reasons are let go.
Rams no doubt will be looking closely at Denver with a guy or two on Wade's wish list.
At least it's extremely rare to find a player who can help a team from that position. Can't remember the last effective pass rusher from a waiver wire scenario.
They should be able to find backup offensive line help, and maybe a corner or two. And it's always smart to pay particular attention to the best teams. They likely have depth that could start for less talented squads. But I'd be shocked if the Rams could find a replacement for Quinn this way. That's gonna take good drafting and FA pickups, or trades. Perhaps an Aaron Donald for a young, stalwart pass rusher and a draft pick or two -- if they can't bring him back into the fold.
