I wouldn't be shopping Austin right now. And sounds like they aren't (unless they are...). And the more weapons the better for 2017. He can have a role. He could catch 45-50 passes and have 30-40 carries just in that RB/Dunbar role. But if Watkins stays healthy I'd absolutely obviously pick extending him over keeping Austin. And I just think if someone comes calling after 4 or 5 games this year and they feel good about either Reynolds or Thomas (or both) at that point they might listen to a trade offer. I would.

But I added this--as long as he's a Ram, it's smart to take full advantage. If anything the 2015 role looks juicier with Watkins opening up space for him this year.
In the future...in terms of 2018...no one is going to pick keeping Tavon over Watkins. That script writes itself.
