That's just plain not how they ran the draft.
No Rams pick was "on" anyone. In fact they were "on" everyone.
If Snead didn;t want a guy ranked high all he would have to do is say so. The Rams policy was, if anyone at the top (ie. higher than a scout) didn't want a pick they wouldn't pick the guy. If they didn;t have consensus on a guy he wouldn't be in consideration.
These are just the facts as we know them after listening to endless post-draft press conferences by Demoff, Fisher, and Snead and after reading several local and national reporters who got some inside views of the process.
And the idea that they wouldn't let controversies out of the inner circle is false too. We know all about several controversies, like the fact that Fisher was upset that they didn't sign Jenkins.
Honest, there's real evidence out there, and all anyone has to do is look for it.
Endless speculation about who picked which guy, in the light of that evidence, is just made up nothing.
