Odd thing is, he'd be near perfect for the Rams as Goff's back-up, but is not nearly so good for the Seahawks because the Rams QB is a pocket passer, while the 'Hawk's guy is too much like Kap....they think a pocket is where you keep your wallet and not where you operate an offense from. Wilson and Kap are too similar. Goff and Kapp are near opposites; a perfect match for starter and back-up.

Think about it, the Hawks already have enough turmoil in-house and don't really need to create anymore.

The HC and GM felt that Kap could be an asset to the team and wanted to bring him in, but after meeting with the team (Russ Wilson and others) decided against it all things considered.

So what do they do instead, go to the absolute other end of the spectrum and sign a guy like Austin Davis who is no threat to anyone.

Its pretty easy to see what happened there.

Also I want my back-up qb to somewhat mirror my starter that way I don't have to make any changes in my scheme and seemingly there is an easy transition.
