No downside to trying him at other positions, and I think he'd be a natural at DT, or crashing through the line of scrimmage on the other side, as a running back.

He's an elite athlete for his size. My dime-store guess is he has a learning disability, and that can be managed if you have enlightened coaches, staff, etc. OTOH, you can't teach elite athleticism. You have it or you don't. He does.

IMO, the Rams gave up on him too soon and weren't nearly creative/enlightened enough.

I'm trusting Kromer and McVay on this decision, Billy.

They saw him in meetings, practices, and coach vs player teaching conversations.

That they were willing to cut bait this early speaks volumes to me. Sorry.
