Everett is in no way a swing for the fences pick.
His college production and skill set speak for themselves.
"Project" and "swing for the fences" are not the same thing.
And yeah being from a small school is what makes Everett a project. They have no idea until they find out how he does against top caliber competition.
With Robinson what made him a project was the fact that he was a spread system lineman and it is hard to gauge how those will do as pros. In fact GR is not the only high picked lineman over the last few years who struggled in the pros---that's the spread offense doing that, so it's now harder to judge them and how they will do as pros.
And for that reason alone, they should have avoided him. There were much better players to be had. Khalil Mack comes to mind immediately.
