What your limit is as a fan. And that's true of casual fans and die-hards both.
I lived almost my entire life in Cleveland, and have been a Rams fan since I was a kid. So I have obviously been exposed to
very little quality football for a long time LOL.
We all know that Browns fans have off the charts loyalty to their team, but when they have horrible ownership (which they have had for years) bad players and bad coaching the limit gets tested. And people stop paying for the product. I know because I know a lot of Browns fans that are spending less, going to fewer games or no games at all. Winning matters, more than anything. I have seen plenty of posters on different boards disappear because they lost interest in the Rams, and this includes guys from LA and STL and others like me that were nowhere near either city but were Rams fans. Sometimes I've seen them come back, but not always.
The prices of games continues to climb, your cost right now to attend games is probably on the lower end of the spectrum and it's still out of reach for the majority of people. You are spending about $6500, and that is after tax money. If a person makes $70,000 that means close to $11,000 of their income comes right off the top to go towards 8 Sundays of 4 hours of entertainment. 32 hours for 11K means it better be GOOD quality entertainment or that money will get redirected and maybe that fan just goes to a game or two during the year.
That means the teams that will see fans turn out are the ones that are winning or "competitive".
For our sake I hope the Rams turn it around and your money is well spent.
Something else just came to mind and I will comment on it. I don't really care if LA becomes a "Rams town" or a "Chargers town" because it wouldn't effect any of us Rams fans. We just want to see good football.
We are the only fans in the NFL that can't make fun of the Browns.Think about that for a moment.
