First of all, how is working on a serious Donald contract extension a bad thing? Seems like a REAL good thing to me.
Second, Donald won't be the 15th highest paid Ram for much longer, it seems. THAT "problem" will be solved.
Third, the stupidity continues? What's so stupid about getting Donald extended? That one blows my mind. Demoff and Snead (mostly Demoff, tbh) are apparently involved in negotiating an extension of contract for a cornerstone player and a potential future HOF'er and they get criticized? WTF? And years before they had to, given the 5th year option plus 2 available franchise tag option years? I repeat, WTF? These guys can't win with you, can they?
As to "poor McVay"? Don't worry about Sean McVay. I bet he's happy as a hog eatin' slop right now. What new HC wouldn't be ecstatic at the prospect of locking up a talent like Donald for the next 5 years using Kroenke's money? I bet McVay couldn't be happier.
I hope all parties can work this out, and soon. If so, Donald can focus on just playing football and being the best that he can be instead of being distracted for years and years with the contract thing. A new contract would be a big win-win for the Rams and for Donald.
This appears to be an anti Jenkins or TruJo scenario, if you ask me.
