I think our feelings towards stadiums are shaped by a couple of things - first, what we were exposed to in our "formative" years of becoming a fan and secondly, what our actual experience was going there.
For me, my first ever game experience was at Candlestick Park. It was the "only" 365 miles North of us so it was the closest stadium to see my beloved Rams. So many great games there it has always held a special place in my heart. The Rams, of course, being from Los Angeles, had that sunshine look. That look when sun hit those uniforms just right was addictive whether it was the Coliseum or the Big A:
the exposure to that look during the formative years made me hooked on the outdoor/sunshine experience. not to say, the uniforms don't look sharp inside a dome and some of my greatest experiences have been in the Domes (TWA Dome/ED Jones) and of course, the Georgia Dome.
As far as great stadium experiences, while I haven't been to them all, I have been to many. For my Money, Lambeau field as a visitor (and collecting a win) was epic as well as the home opener last year in the Coliseum - that was awe inspiring as I had never seen the Rams as a "home" team in the Coliseum before then. I love Qwest in Seattle though we have lost some tough ones there as well as some epic wins (the great comeback of 2004 and the subsequent playoff win that season being highlights)
Worst stadiums for me have been shaped by bad experiences - The Superdome in Back to Back years 2000 and 2001 had the Rams season end in the playoffs and superbowl :-(. Don't like the fans in Philly or Oakland.
