That's pretty much what they went after. If you watch the vid on the Nerds Nest on therams.com, they show the board with the listed metrics. Under explosive you have things like yards after catch, broken tackles, etc.
The offensive picks were guys who rose to the top of their lists as targets due to those reasons, and they basically admitted they also had Juju identified, who was also good with some of those metrics.
I believe they got two of their top 5 day two WR's and I also think Everett was no worse than their 4th rated TE in much better than normal tight end draft.
I had JuJu rated as my #1 day 2 WR with Kupp #2 and Reynolds #5 so of course I was rather happy with the draft overall. I admit I was hoping Lamp would be the selection at #37 but I didn't freak out because I was hoping for 3 draft picks on day two.
If Goff gets better pass protection from the O-Line in 2017 combined with
Everett making a rookie impact in the 2nd half of the season, those that were pounding the table for
Lamp will be quick to forgive.
