I agree. The TOP of the Rams draft ought to be decidedly offense. The D is fine as is except perhaps for some depth and the issue of perhaps losing some players to FA next year. But when you have a very sick patient, you worry about today first and next year later.
But the offense has been so horrible for so long that this is an issue of trying to save the patient; not trying to incrementally help his health.
That said: if some D skill player is there at 37 that the Rams think was the 20th best player overall, then they are almost obligated to take him if no offense player holds a similar grade. I doubt this will be the scenario.
