Any holdover Olineman MUST realize his job is not at all secure after the dumpster fire they were last year.....and the year before.....and the year before that.....
They are going to bring in players where ever they can to get a decent NFL quality Oline because until they have one, the coaches know that this team is going nowhere.
So Teacher's Pets from yesteryear are in deep doo-doo. Kromer and McVay feel no loyalty to any players on the roster except for the few they have just recently brought on board. And these guys have played sports long enough to understand that they are in a fight for their jobs.
Unless something drastic changes, I really doubt GRob is a starting lineman. I think we'll see Whitworth and perhaps Havenstein as the starting OTs. That leaves a lot of guys fighting over G and C.
But GRob will stick because of the economics.....as purely a back-up at OT.
