Let's look at Nick Foles.
You didn't do that though. You were too selective in what you considered.
Foles did NOT play in a spread twice...his rookie year, and in 2015. Both times he floundered, even though he started well in 2015 before he fell apart.
So to just selectively take Foles's 2015 bad games as some sort of "reveal" strikes me as offering a premise as a conclusion.
It also leaves out the fact, forgotten by many, that SB played pretty well for the Rams when he had both a relatively healthy OL and a running threat.
Meanwhile Goff is a rookie, and when he makes it, he will be one of the few qbs from the college Air Raid offense who did make it. Most rookie qbs struggle. Given all the evidence out there, it's fair to say so do most Air Raid qbs in the pros.
