He doesn't even know that McVay called the plays for the Redskins, saying incorrectly he didn't. He also obviously has no clue how to talk in terms of probability, though what he attempted to say about that was likely valid. The chances are low that these new young head coaches are all going to make it through their contracts. Of course,that doesn't mean McVay's individual chances are low.
But I do think he touches on something that is more likely than not true. Kroenke probably did approached the McVay decision from the perspective that this will be a two year trial run. He very well may have been thinking that this is his chance to swing for the fences and if he connects, they go into their new stadium and rebranding with McVay at the helm already well on their way to being a championship contending team. And if he swings and misses, he'll go get that next big name head coach with the accomplishments (maybe Harbaugh is ready to leave Michigan by that time) to be part of that Rams rebirth in Inglewood.
