They have just as much to do with who gets the bottom roster spots as the special teams' coach. Fish always had good special teams because he stacked the bottom of his chart pretty heavily leaned towards the teams.

So if we get a young gun head coach, which looks likely, having Bones would be an advantage but it is still going to require overall focus wrt who will be on those teams. Hopefully our new leader will be all about ensuring they don't drop off.
