I wouldn't rule it out. A lot of factors in my opinion...
How 'up' for this game can Belichick get them when all the airwaves and media reports locally here in Boston are filled with just completely scoffing the Rams. Of course the Patriots do tend to kick it up a notch in December. AND how 'up' does the Rams defense come out wanting to redeem themselves.
Gronkowski out helps. Brady's QB rating is about 20 points lower without him than with him. And Gronk has caught 30% of the Patriots passing TDs since coming into the league.
How much does Goff really learn week-to-week? Can he build off the Saints game against a mediocre Patriots' defense.
Brady is on a bad wheel and I think the Rams DL has a favorable match-up vs. the Patriots OL. I hadn't done my homework last week to realize the Saints' OL is one of the top 6 in the NFL. The Patriots' OL is very middle of the road.
Can the Rams special teams help even things out by willing the field position game.
Alot of questions and what ifs.
