Goff is a rook and there is no way to know to what extent he will succeed. So for me the problem is everything else.
The defense is still not elite. They are inconsistent, so is the OL, the WRs, the TEs, and especially the QB Fish believed could bridge the position.
If the defense alone had been consistently top five in scoring thus far this team would be in the mix for the playoffs.
Inconsistency is the hallmark of this roster under Fish. None of that really has anything to do with our kid QB. Clearly the belief we were a QB away was wrong, so at this point I no longer care when he plays because he won't be able to make these clowns any better.
