My take, he was hot and tired. It was 100 degrees and he's carrying guys on his back and pushing them forward while trying to turn 4 yard losses into 2 yard gains. And the media asks tons of ridiculous questions.
I think he wanted to shower and eat a few hamburgers.
He obviously didn't want to answer a bunch of dumb questions. He's right. He's not the OC. He doesn't make the play calls. He does his best on any given play. When he gets blocking he's amazing. And he's gotten almost no blocking. If we run one screen for him and he gets 15 yards why not use that play again? Why don't we use that Faulk play where he chips an end and catches a quickie over the middle? Why are there no pitches to get him outside? Why didn't we run any reverses or double reverses? None of this is on the RB. If they stack the box we need to beat them deep. We did it a little but if those were going for TDs they might stop worrying about our running game. I like Todd's answers. I think he's candid yet polite. Did they ask him a question that wasn't a negative? Did they ask a question where he could be funny or charming? Like, so Todd what are you eating after the game? No. Nothing. We won the game. He did his best. And those media monsters grilled him like he fumbled the game away. I personally hate player interviews, but I don't think you could blame the kid for not being all bubbly under those conditions.
