The empty backfields drive me crazy overall, especially on 3rd and 1 or 2, which they always seem to run in the hurry up. It sure would've been nice if Akers could've touched the ball more than once in the drive we had down one score in the 4th quarter. I believe the only touch he got was on another wildcat that drive...by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
Yep, that is a nice, clean summary. I know AD wasn't healthy, but man the front just got completely dominated, and the Oline seemed to wear down later in the game, although they performed at least admirably.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with you overall...glad they battled back and kept this a game. I know the Pack have AR and a great offense, but our defense stunk in both pass and run defense. Overall, I'd say it was a good season, BUT the clunkers still stick in my craw, led by the Jets game of course. Having said that, finishing in the top 8 was a success.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
I watched it in slow motion several times after the game. His knee never seemed to bend or turn in a weird way. One of the Seattle lineman stepped on his foot while he was engaged in a block with a WR with his leg planted.. He immediately grabbed both sides of his knee and limped off. I wasn't optimistic after seeing this and was surprised that they said it wasn't serious. Now, I'm not surprby sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
Two burned timeouts in the first 3:30 of the game...oh the memories. Also, how could Theisman say that Torry's first quarter TD wasn't a catch. Bizarre...by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com

Paul Edinger!! I watched the games at my wife's grandparents house and they lived on Edinger Way. That was a fun day, as was the comeback the following week against the Saints, who they played on that last regular season Sunday was great too, until Az fumbled that punt. If he fields that ball, who knows what happens that post season.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
I was screaming at the TV on that one. He blatantly got tackled!! Hard to believe that isn't called right there.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
Gay has obviously steading the kicking game, but overall the special teams have got to be a liability and aren't good enough to make a deep playoff run. Both the return and coverage units have been somewhere between poor and downright awful. Hecker has been far from a top 5 punter like we've been accustomed to as well. I'd say that their failure is right up there with the offense this season.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay has consistently went into shot gun with an empty backfield on 3rd and 1 or 2...drives me crazy!! I remember on one drive in the second half, Brown had a nice, 12 yard run for a first down and McVay immediately goes empty, for most of the next several plays. Why not try to build on that, or at least have Brown in the backfield as a play action threat? That INT was bad though. One ofby sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the air went out of our sails there. Definitely one of the worst INTs I've seen in recent memory. I've been a staunch defender, but man this is wearing on me.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
I was having streaming issues and missed the return. Man those still shots are brutal. What a missed opportunity!by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com

I was 50/50 at the time, before the 4th down. I would've been more like 99.9% for kicking the FG after the degree of difficulty of the throw Goff ended up making. I could see both sides of it, but I think I would've been ok with the long FG attempt, whether he made it or not.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
one tough dude! I think he only missed a handful of plays, and handled pretty much the full workload with a high ankle sprain!? Obviously this doesn't bode well for the Seahawk game. This is another reason that shows why the Rams shouldn't of taken the Jets lightly. Winning this division is starting to look more and more like an uphill battle!by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
No doubt the offense stunk, especially in the first half, but I don't think you can give the defense a pass by any stretch. They gave up a 74 yard TD drive to start the game and then back to back 72 yard drives to start the second half resulting in a TD and FG respectively, against THE worst offense in the NFL. The Jets were 30 yards behind the next closest team in offensive yards per game goby sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
seemed to be CB2 in many of the 2 CB sets. Hill also seems to be playing outside more, and JR is playing the slot some.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
MNF vs. Bucs, the Rams exclusively pass their way to a win, and the exact opposite tonight. Both games vs. very good defenses. McVay is a very impressive HC, who continues to improve. We sure are lucky to have him!by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
There were definitely some bad passes, but there were also two brutal drops by Reynolds and Woods. The drop by Woods may have been his best throw of the nightby sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay flashed on to the scene, having early success and then helping to lead us to the Super bowl after an incredibly quick turn around in only his second year.. He dealt with a little adversity last year and adjusted nicely, which has carried over to this season. He is growing before our eyes, and is quickly turning into one of the top HCs in the entire NFL. We are sure lucky to have him, witby sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
I have some of my fondest memories rooting on the Rams teams of the 80s, and you were one of my favorite players during that time for sure. Thanks for being a great Ram!! Could you name 2 or 3 of your all time favorite wins you had with the Rams, in either the regular and/or post season? Thanks for taking the time. GO RAMS!!by sacram - Leroy Irvin Chat
Good luck SST!! YOU got this!!!!by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
That Cowboy playoff win is one of my all time favorite Ram games of my lifetime, despite how bad Dieter was. ED and the defense came up HUGE!! Dieter's playoff performance that post season has got to be one of the worst post season QB play of all time. He was a combined 16-53 for 116 yards with 0 TDs and 1 INT against the Cowboys and Bears. Yikes!!by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
Henry Ellard caught about half of the yards that Dieter passed for that year. Man, I couldn't imagine what the pass game would've been that year without Henry!by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
Can anyone explain the below clock management?: 3rd & 2 at SF 28 (1:55 - 4th) (Shotgun) N.Mullens pass short left to D.Samuel to LA 48 for 24 yards (T.Reeder). 1st & 10 at LAR 48 (1:17 - 4th) (Shotgun) N.Mullens pass short left to D.Samuel to LA 41 for 7 yards (T.Reeder). (0:45 - 4th) Timeout #1 by LA at 00:45.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't think anyone on this board would argue with you, the defense played well enough to win. In fact they were THE main reason the Rams got the lead back and even had a chance.....BUT, regardless of how tired they were, I'd expect them to get a stop against THAT qb down the stretch of any game. They had 2 opportunities to do that, and couldn't get off the field either time.by sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
In no way is this a defense of Goff and to a lesser extent McVay's playcalling.... But the defense gave up over a hundred yards of offense and FGs on back to back drives in the last 5 and a half minutes of the game against the Whiners backup QB who was playing without their best weapon. I'm not saying the defense didn't play well overall, but I'd expect better results from them against Nickby sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
the missed pass to Woods on the out route during their last offensive drive, which would've been a first down. Instead he missed the easy pass by 3-4 yards, and then they gave the ball back to Nick Mullens, who outplayed our 30 million dollar quarterback hands down, who completed several clutch passes to march them down the field to beat us. I've been a big Goff guy, but man that was an absolby sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
I completely agree! Simms and many others love to point to the 18 Super Bowl, but I wonder if they watched the 18 NFCCG which got them there? Simms says he wants to see JG come through in the clutch for the Rams immediately after he came through in the clutch the night before! You don't have Goff's winning percentage, without being clutch. Sure, he is an unfinished product and has his warby sacram - RamsFootballFans.com
