because he has been. That doesn't explain the 'off' stuff, however, and I fully recognize that. It's a tough subject... because pondering that issue one can easily be accused of doubting his innate talent.. which I do NOT. Frankly.. Speed's article may be dead on target.. or so it seems to me... and IF on target.. the problem WILL be rectified. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
is a two steps forward one step back QB in development. But even if my suspicions are correct that's still positive development and the line on the graph continues to rise.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
loved that. Yeah... I think the scuttlebutt regarding Gurley is best answered with this quote: "The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated" - Mark Twain. :laughingby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
good read. I'm reluctant to put too much into these last 4 games.... concerned, yes, but not sure it's really indicative of a breakdown of some kind, (mechanics or otherwise). but that said... the 'criticism' most definitely DID catch my attention because even though I didn't 'see', or recognize' those specific flaws in his mechanics the criticisms DO seem to explain what my poorly trained QBby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Especially in regards to Goff... whom I think will snap back to normal and have a great game. Gurley I don't know... I'm still pondering all that 'workload management' stuff.... was that first game the template? Maybe, maybe not. I'm not convinced it's the plan for the entire season... instead thinking that first game was a 'test run', so to speak. I am NOT worried about Gurley, however...by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
so I can't say... sorry... BUT.... my guess is that you're right.... hindsight is leading me to believe that... but other's on this board will know far better than I... and they'll do the research, I won't, because these days when I do research I get side-tracked mentally and end up reading about fly-fishing tips or something. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
As I said above... something announcers said last night led me to believe that Ginn himself called the TO instantly. That would certainly speed things up... or rather stop the clock quicker. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com

but you really think NO went against a 'much worse' defense? Maybe so based on prognostications and reputation... but in game play I thought Houston put up a much better effort.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
but who can call a time-out? Something the announcers said, (I forget exactly what), led me to believe Ginn himself called the time out.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
well... I get that. Saints looked very good... the Ram's appeared, to me anyway, to be not quite ready. Hence my surprise at Vegas... BUT... I'm not a betting man but I still know that things like that, what I just said, have little bearing on Vegas odds... just like 'best team' doesn't dictate odds.. bringing in money/bets controls that. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
sure acted like he was dinged to me, agree. Now this next I'm NOT presenting as evidence AT ALL... of anything to do with our topic... it's just an observation on how people react to injury that I found interesting.. and this occurred DURING the injury, while he remained seated on the field. When they sat him up Weddle had a 'glazed' look that seemed to me to be so obvious that I wasn't sby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't think it's 'definitely' a concussion.... but agree his reaction sure as hell looked like that was the case to me. Also disagree on what it takes to go thru concussion protocol... with the admission that I can't quote the NFL procedure for doing so... but with 'concussions' being at the forefront of concern today, as far as injuries, it's my understanding that anything, and I mean ANYby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com

good post. You and I run in different circles, Waterfield. We're not, in general, 'flying people'.... the cost. But it's more than the cost.... A mere 6 hour drive, 12 hours round trip, is but a Sunday stroll for us. And as odd as this is.... driving is not that much more time-consuming than flying, for us that is, and all things considered. I know a lot of Raider fans.. and by that I mean a LOT. Where I live it's mostly Niner and Raider fans and by a huge margin. Obviously I have not discussed this move with ALL the Raider fans I know... but it's certainly been a topic with a heck of a lot of them... and to a man I know of NOT ONE that is even remotely considering switching allegiance. then I'm out of this one. As i said... Kurt lit it up in '99, first time in the NFL. He was 'developed'. So unless you wish to make the argument it all hit in '99, which obviously you don't, then it seems to me you must back off that 27 place mark.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
any strike to the head, especially one resulting in an injury, dictates 'concussion protocol'. I've read no definitive clearance regarding a concussion BUT... what I have read seems to either dismiss that possibility or I guess, possibly, ignore it. Not sure how this works these days but if it WAS a concussion it seems to me we would have heard that by now... (could have been announcedby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
we had a tire go out on us. We had to replace it in Vegas... and did so in a little tire shop, (not a franchise), just a few blocks from the new stadium. At the tire shop were gathered a lot of locals, this was on a Sunday, sitting around chatting... the topic, the Raiders coming to town. I joined in. the announcer speculated that a cleat got into his face mask.... and I can't say that's impossible. BUT... what I've read, (not all that much), is that it was NOT a concussion... which confuses me a little.... because of his reaction to the hit, which seemed far more and different to me than how one would react to a laceration.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Kurt lit it up in '99... FIRST time playing in the NFL... surely NONE of us are going to make the argument that he just suddenly hit in '99... that the NFL didn't bring to bear a LOT more competition and opposing talent? Seems to be any reasonable assessment of '99 MUST admit that Kurt wasn't 'developing' at that point... he was developed.... fostering the butt hurt attitude towards officiating... looks to me like they're wallowing in that identity and fostering it.... and I don't see that as a good thing.. and I say that while completely believing that: They have a right to be angry about that call. I just wasn't geared that way... I think. Can't say for sure, of course, had I got one perhaps I would have developed a desire for them. i think you miss my point... although you still disagree. You're all in on a rebirth at age 27-28. I don't think it happened that way at all. Kurt was lighting it up in Arena ball as well, not just later in Europe. There is no question he 'developed'... but his 'baseline' was high, and existent from the start.
