Would the Rams considered a special team coach change now? The Rams special teams have been horrible this year....with Hecker getting blocked yesterday and sub par punt returns /coverage.....Brayden Coombs just got fired from the Lions. I doubt he took the Jets lightly... Didn't the broadcast team say that McVay called Adam Gase to talk to him before the game? Saying that he said he watched the JETS and saw that they were really talented and competing? Are the Rams setting up the Seahawks with their loss to the lowly Jets? Why did McVay play so conservative all game long against the Jets. Even the defense was vanilla....Was he treating the game like a preseason game trying to not reveal his plays for the big show down? We need to get Van Jefferson more involved with the passing game....Goff needs to look for other receivers besides Kupp and Woods. Is Van not getting separation or is Goff just not looking for him. I wonder if John Wolford was the QB on most of Van's preseason big plays. I found this classic video of Eric Dickerson teaching the fundamentals of being a running back...What the Rams needs right now is some classic John Robinson USC run plays to mix in with McVay pass plays. Goff in the shot gun and play action is getting too predictable. Those jet sweeps are getting sniffed out too. Did anyone see Corbett look like turnstile on that play? How about Havenstein standing around blocking no one. If Haventstein had slid over to help Corbett....maybe that pick 6 wouldn't have happened. Looked like Goff was getting a blind side hit just when he was releasing the ball. Why are the Rams not running a toss power sweep play to allow our running backs to build momentum when they hit the line of scrimmage? Eric Dickerson used to gain so much head of steam that he would run over the defender......Instead we are always having Goff hand it off to the rb close to the line of scrimmage? Van Jefferson isn't physical enough to play special teams. He has missed a bunch of tackles even when he is the first guy down the field on coverage. He needs to just play WR...tackling isn't his strong point and that last play not keeping the ball out of the end zone was a complete failure in his punt coverage assignment. How could one team report so many injuries? Historical number of injuries....All due to bad luck? Terrible training staff? Could it be PED? One of their players just got suspended due to steroids but that got reversed due to false positive. But still seems highly suspicious. Look I can't stand that we lost to the hated Whiners. Remember Rams are the 3rd youngest team in the NFL. Rams just traveled across country after an emotional Monday night game and didn't practice due to Covid-19 on Friday... playing without Kiser on a short week against a team coming off their bye week. Bryce Perkins seems to have more passion about playing QB than Goff.... Listen to him at 13:08 in the video and what he brings to the table...work horse and competing. I can't wait until this guy beats out Goff. 6'3'' 215 dual threat qb...with a stronger arm than Goff. Rams need a dual threat qb like Russell Wilson and Kyler Murray. Isn't the solution to cover zero is to have quick inside slant throws to the receivers... That is assuming our receiver can get a quick move to the inside without getting jammed at the line and break free with speed....that is why Brandin Cooks was valuable. The teams with the dynamic mobile QB are at the top of league.....Seahawks, Cardinals, Chiefs and Ravens. Although Rothlisberger isn't considered a mobile QB he makes up for it being mentally tough, physically able to take most hits without fumbling and shedding tacklers....making sandlot plays.
