Because Fan GMs will create the offense that scores TDs on every possession and defenses that stops the opponent on every possession. Fan GMs don't need a kicker.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Because some fans grew up understanding football by playing Madden.. maybe Tecmo Bowl for the older generation...where the offense/defense plays are linear.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
yeah, I certainly don't want to make it sound like cover 1 is the solution for Mahomes. It isn't. He's good against various types of coverages. Coming into the season, the thought was to defend him by limiting explosive plays and keep every thing underneath. But then he solved that throughout the year, especially with Kelce. Main point was.. the way to stop him and virtually any top QB,by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Mahomes eats up zone defenses. He actually is less effective against Cover 1... but less effective to him is still good... so don't take that as he's not good against cover 1. Just that his passer rating I think is the lowest against Cover 1. So maybe Philly fans are confused and want to bring 1 safety down instead of 2 high. I would have made Mahomes run. Don't care if he gave up yards.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
They've done that all year. This is the "risk taking" philosophy where you are allowed to jump routes to make a play and hopefully cause a turnover. They can do that because they know if they give up a TD, it isn't all lost because they have an offense that can score.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Philly front 4 met their match. Was a non factor against the pass and run. When the front 4 goes, the secondary can't hang.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
To stop either KC or Philly this game? I don't think I'd press Kelce with a safety at the line lol. That didn't work out well for Philly. Reid called a masterful 2nd half, exploiting the matchups and tendencies. As they say... you can only hope to contain.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Philly got no push rush from the front 4 this game. Phenomenal job by the KC line. And then Pacheco gashed them a few times.. on the #1 defense against the run. Time of Possession: Philly: 35:47 KC: 24:13 Yards Gained: Philly: 417 KC: 340 Like what many Offensive minded coaches say: "F" time of possession and "F" Yards KC scored TDs, Philly kicked 2 Fby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
yep, I thought the Eagles would bracket Kelce and leave 1 on 1 for the WRs. They sure didn't start that way and Mahomes/Kelce burnt them in alot of 1 on 1 coverage. I couldn't tell if they adjusted to Kelce in the 2nd quarter with brackets. They might have as I see Reid motioning Kelce out for inside out routes to get him more 1 on 1. Didn't have the right camera angles to see, so tomorrows tby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Because Rams really needed Tutu. I don't get this article.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
whoa.. yeah, that quota is wrong. Let's not slide protect to the outside or wham/chip block Best way to not command a double team is to get a defensive line that looks like this: Aaron Donald Chris Jones Maxx Crosby And then throw in Michah Parsons because why not.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Why is your friend not an NFL GM? Armchair GM is so easy. Can your friend give me the winning Powerball numbers for next week? Preferably before the numbers are drawn vs afterwards.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
OOF and now Chiefs put Hardman on IR.. out for Super Bowl. There really is no deep threat for Mahomes. If KC wins, for sure it is all Mahomes. Unless their Defense gets a punch of Pick 6's, fumbles for TDs. Philly would bracket Kelce and put it all on Juju, Marquezby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Bummer, good get by the panthers.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
I like Evero. If you like an aggressive defense, you'd like Evero. But he does morph based on who he has. So, if he looks at the Rams secondary, he may say.. nah, let's go back to 2 high soft lolby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteJimYoungblood53 QuoteJamesJM (especially this last season) Okay, this last season Rams play softest and Chiefs 2nd "hardest" Chiefs had a time of possession of 29:56 Rams had time of possession of 29:39 I don't know what it means. We were awful and they are in Super Bowl. The play up, we play back. 17 seconds per game difference . . . a play a game? a play every 2 gaby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteJimYoungblood53 I think Evero did a good job. They fell apart at the end but when the offense tanks like they did with Wilson, it is hard to keep it together. We saw that they were not good when we played them but they were a good unit before that. To me, that's an understatement. I thought he squeezed all that he could out of what he had there. I thought he was outstanding. Thatby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Economically, wouldn't you want to draft OT and DE's.. hope you win the lottery and they perform really well on rookie contracts. And then spend smaller FA dollars on interior O-linemen? I think higher grade OT's/DE's tend to be able to start in year 1 vs other positions.. or am I wrong? Otherwise, you blow your load on bigger dollars for OT/DE's FAs since they command much more dollars anby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, feels like they don't have confidence. I'd take an organization that really wanted me and went all out to get me. Round 3 is like... well not sure you are the guy.. some people like you, some people don't... you need to convince those that don't like you. Which basically means: short leash. Good Luck!by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Love this post! Points to ponder. Good for ribbing some niner friendsby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
That is exactly why I didn't think KC would get this far.... with the loss of Hill, they don't really have people that can consistently stretch the defense. Hardman flashes, but just not like Hill. Juju is inconsistent and not really a go to person for Mahomes Marquez is a better target for Mahomes but doesn't stretch. If Philly boxes in Kelce with 2 defenders like what Cincy did... But can they cover Kelce :) Hmm, so high ankle sprain Mahomes may be in trouble. My gut tells me Philly would win, since I keep looking at KC and thinking they have many holes and really it is Mahomes/Kelce combo that is just lights out. Spags can only do so much with what he has. I don't know, maybe it's like the Rams where you look at the team so much that you know where the holes areby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, it is so nuanced and there really is not a right answer. just opinions. I like Bengals D paired with how Burrow's behaves. You need to pair aggressive defenses with Burrows because he's just not as patient throwing the ball underneath. So you want to give him an aggressive defense so if they do blow a large play, then Burrows would do what he does best which is gunsling. So I like how Bby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com

I don't know.. how much of this is Saleh, how much of this is Ryans, how much of this is the talent? Seems like there wasn't much drop off after Saleh left. With Saleh, he inherited a really bad defense, then last year they were the worst defense in the NFL. Then this year, they are the 4th best. So maybe it is coaching? It's all good though, anything that takes away from the Niners is aby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Watch college football... a bit easier to digest. Closer to home, it is fascinating to watch Chip Kelly's and Lincoln Riley's offense. They run basically the same thing over and over again with just tiny little wrinkles here and there. So it is "easier" to grasp. But they do look at where they have the numbers advantage and have zone and man routes in the same play. Everything sby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
First time in many years in which I don't care who wins in the Super Bowl. Makes for a relaxing 2 weeks. No Brady, No Niners, No Patriots etc... Thank you Eagles! And I guess Cowboys too for taking out Brady.by h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
Really up to the coaching staff, but it isn't the players that are huddling behind some chalk board listening to the coaches.. like hollywood movies seem to protray. They've practiced everything already and its a matter of running certain coverages and alignments more than others during some key situations... which the players will find out when they get those calls on the field. Nice vids.. Yes there are so many things that coordinators are doing that an average fan may not see. What most people see is the outcome and if the outcome is the same, then they think that the coordinator didn't make any adjustments. But that's far from the truth. It's hard to find a coordinator that isn't adjusting during the game. And it is even harder to find the opposing offensiveby h2omelonhead - RamsFootballFans.com
