Good article, but, for some reason, this past week, I’ve been bothered by NFL wives complaining about injuries and potential injuries that their spouses face. So, I got triggered when I read this in the article: “He is on the football field putting his body through an annual onslaught of pain and punishment.” I see this argument as a bargaining ploy as moot. I read—probably on the board—that defenses were less likely to stack the box this season than they would for more than half the other teams in the league. So, Kyren, per carry, has to average more yards per carry than other backs since he hasn’t broken off a lot of long runs. What this means is teams will sacrifice Kyren’s 4 to 5 yards per carry to stop the pass—they don’t feel a need to sby Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com

I had Pitts on my fantasy team this last season. The Falcons never threw him the ball—I had Drake London too—and he didn’t get a lot of targets. But in those games when they didn’t hand it off to Robinson, Pitts dropped a lot of passes which was bad timing since he finally had his number called.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com

Between our game versus the Eagles and the Chiefs’, is that Philly had a perfectly choreographed rush to the quarterback that kept pressure proportional. What do I mean? It was like a circular shaped wall surrounding the QB that inched closer and closer in perfect sequence giving the QB the sensation of having the walls close in on him in step. The talk last season was about getting into Canton and the road through requires another Super Bowl title. But for the Rams to get there, the need genuine talent that is rarely acquired through UDFAs and lower round draft picks. Sanders is about the same size—but he’s upper body gravity as opposed to Todd’s lower body gravity—but he looks a lot like Gurley as far as running style. Wing span, arm length of both arms and shoulder width, is not something you want to ignore when drafting ball carriers. These thee clones just have a minimum wingspan to secure the ball. Guys like Barkley and Dickerson are rare. But ED basically is responsible for getting D coordinators stacking the box. He was basically a long bomb without the risk: you sack or intercept an off tackle house call. When you have a guy that makes forces a defense to pack 8 in the box, you gain a lot of options— you have a run game and you have an opened up passing game. I still have never seen a team as resilient as this one and they make me proud to be one of their fans. The fact that they played the way you want your team to play, makes the disappoint more of a sting.
